FIRST Robotics Challenge (FRC)
Challenge Kickoff was Saturday January 10th. Starting Monday January 12th, we are meeting weekly on Monday - Friday from 5:30pm-8:30pm and Saturdays from 10am-6pm. Meetings are held at the Robotics Center in the High School. Enter through door A24 (between doors A23 & A26 on the back of the High School).
FIRST Robotics Challenge in Michigan is for High School aged students. In Berrien Springs we currently have two FRC teams. Students being homeschooled or participating in the Berrien Springs Virtual Academy are also eligible to participate.
Our program fund raises to help pay team entry fees, team uniforms, team laptops, team robots and supplies. It is expected that each team member will assist in fundraising. One team uniform will be provided to all active team members before the first district event in March. They will be able to purchase two addition shirts for a total of three team uniforms for $20. They may purchase additional uniforms for $20 each. The Berrien Springs Public School system donates the use of the school facilities.
We meet every Tuesday and Thursday during the preseason starting August 27th through the Winter break from 5:30pm-8:30pm.
During the build season that kicks off on Saturday January 4th we will start meeting Monday - Friday 5:30pm - 8:30pm and most Saturdays from 9am-4pm.

FIRST Tech Challenge (FTC)
We are updating for the new season starting in September 2026.
FIRST Tech Challenge in Michigan is for middle school aged students. In Berrien Springs we currently have two FTC teams. We can expand with additional teams if participation supports the need. Students being homeschooled are eligible to participate.
Our program fund raises to pay team entry fees, team uniforms, team laptops, team robots and supplies. The Berrien Springs Public School system donates the use of the school facilities. Parents are responsible for food, snacks and beverages for students while at the single day competition held at the Coloma High School. In 2025 the team also participated in a second event and state champs.

Team PageFIRST Lego Lego in Michigan is for elementary aged students. In Berrien Springs we currently have two FLL programs. We have FLL Challenge for upper elementary students. These are students that are enrolled in Sylvester Elementary. We have FLL explore for lower elementary students. These are students that are enrolled in Mars Elementary. Students being homeschooled are eligible to participate.
